Pushbutton for 1950 DeSoto with semi automatic fluid drive (M6)

I think there is some confusion here. The M6 fluid drive automatically downshifts when you decelerate, or, when in high range press the accelerator to the floor and it will downshift from 4th to 3rd. The link Mike referred to above is for the overdrive tramsmission not the M6 fluid drive.

It is correct such Bob writes. My challenge is that I miss a functioning original carburetor (Carter E7L4 or Carter E7L3). The carburetor should have 2 switches that help to control the gearshifts. The motor runs today with a unoriginal carburetor without these two switches (Tillotson). For this reason I'm looking for a possibility to manually control the gearshifts from 2nd to 1st and from 4th to 3rd.

I am also looking for a functioning carburetor type of Carter E7L4 or E7L3, but I hope to find a solution that enables me to get the gearshifts to work with the unoriginal carburetor until I hopefully find a functioning original carburetor.
