What grade oils are you using in your Chrysler ? , my book says SAE 30 in the engine , i use SAE 20-50 and for the gearbox and diff 90 gear oil, i am thinking that 90 may be a bit heavy for the gearbox, what are your thoughts.

thanks

I've used 10-30 engine oil and 140 weight gear oil in my 30 Desoto for about 20 years and 4,000 miles. For Summer driving these would be the weights (30 weight) recommended in the owners manual. 90 weight in the transmission and rear is a bit lighter than 140 weight but shouldn't cause any problems. 10-30 was the usual recommended replacement for 30 weight when multi-grade oils became available.
