pint4
Trying to gauge how difficult it might be to obtain a straight set of hood panels top and side for a 35 Packard Standard 8. Also wondering about the chrome louver on the side of the hood. Are these relatively rare, or available if one goes to Hershey, Packard Nationals, or a pre-war meet? I am looking at a car that needs new hood panels. Fabricating new ones would be prohibitively expensive.Thank you.
Dave Mitchell
These won't be really easy to find, but it is possible. I have V12 hoods, you could possibly cut the tops down, but the sides are different. I think I have one of the chrome louvers, not sure if I have a pair. mlavin73
I do have some Packard hoods (3 - all the same) but I'm not sure what year they go to. Maybe you could tell by looking at these pictures. I can get dimensions if you need. Most of my parts were 28-32 but some have been newer and some older. pint4
These are most likely of an earlier model such as a 32 or 33. Thanks for sharing.
