tfee
While trying to remove the radiator from my 733 I had to break the seal compression ring that holds the copper radiator neck within the pot metal radiator neck housing. The part was so corroded that it it literally crumbled. I am having a local (Detroit) machine shop reproduce this part in aluminum for me at a cost of $100. If you have had a similar problem and want this part reproduced for your car let me know ASAP via e-mail and I can have one made for you as well. I will give you until next Monday.Toddtfee16811 at gmail.comDon't know what part I'm talking about: see below
tfee
In case anyone needs to have this part reproduced I've attached a print anyone can use to have their local machine shop make this part for you. Make sure you give your machinist your radiator neck so he can match the threads.1930 Packard Radiator Seal Ring.pdf
