Guest cliffv Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 My 8v started running ruff at the stop light , then I noticed the check eng. light had just come on, I limped home about two miles slow. Pulled out the big blue book and started reading. I had to move the TC the next morn to get the spare car out and to my supprize no check eng. light and she ran smooth. Guest Jim_McNally Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 Pull the error codes from the computer (key on-off-on-off-on, count the flashes [it's in the manual under error codes retrieval if you've never done it...]) and that should tell you why the engine light came on, and hopefully points you to the issue. They sometimes like to work themselves loose and create an on/off/on situation. It comes out of nowhere and disappears just as quickly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
