farrellg Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 I am restoring my 1930 1 Ton U133. The original fender welt is long gone. Does anyone know what size it may have been and did it run the full length of the fender from front frame horns to the running board? Cant seem to find enough of it left to know for sure. Guest 1930 Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 On the autos it ran as you stated from the frame horns to the running boards, as far as diam I would be surprised if truck welting was any different in size from the type used on autos as the fenders were not of any really significant size difference themselves.The runningboards themselves had their own decorative trim, cant tell from your photo if yours still has this but it looks like it from here.
