<HR SIZE=1><!-- google_ad_section_start -->I have a 1948 ford f2 pickup and discovered the amp gauge had apparently was not hooked up after inspecting the rear of the instrument cluster. After several hours of trying to hook up from diagrams off google I still got nothing and to be honest just dont understand if I'm going about it correctly. I t could be maybe the gauge is faulty itself which is why I get no reading or just my own stupidity so i bought another and aim to hook it up when arrives and want to be sure im going about it right. Ive provided pics to show back of gauge to illicit any help out there please!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

In 48 you should have an inductive type with a "loop" on the back. Just feed your wire through it and if the gauge reads backwards, reverse the wire. Many ammeters do require service, so a "non-functioning" unit could have a variety of causes. We service all types of ammeters and would be happy to take a look at it if you don't figure it out.
