Guest
Just sold my v8 modified MGB. Probably the most useless, most evil handling rod I've ever built. I want to try again w/alum. 3800 and 700R4 rear wheel drive trans. Which buick am I looking for? Thanks for any tips.
Guest
Hello,
Just an Idea: One source for parts would be a 80's Regal which used this set-up for Grand Nationals and T-Types alike. A turbo 3800 would REALLY make your car scoot
Duane
Guest
Grand Nats was my first thought too. My 2nd thought was: everyone else wants one too. I was thionking more along the lines of a less desirable (less $) donor car. Aren't there some full size models with the 3800 and rear wheel drive?
Thanks for the quick come back
The Old Guy
A Regal T type has the same running gear. The trans is a 200-4R not a 700 ,but it is actually a better tranny. The 700 -R4 has a chevy bolt pattern and the 200_4R has a pattern compatible with the Buick. Some 700s have a dual pattern ,but the also have a wider spread in the gears.
