Guest stumax
Placeing the crankshaft in the motor and needing advice on the rear engine oil seal. Not much clearance for a seal. The parts book shows part number 156151 oil seal crankshaft rear bearing being out of wood. The gasket set I have does not have such parts. The shaft looks like it is made to pull the oil back and down to a drain hole in the back bearing. I don't want to have unneed oil leaks, please advise. Thanks for your help
studerex
The rear uses a slinger design, no seal. It does use the wood sticks on the sides on the main cap approx 3/16 x 1/4.
