I have a bug & air deflector made by C. E. Eirckson Co. Des Moines, Iowa never used. Can anyone help me with the history? Made of cardboard with metal clipes to keep its shape.

C.E. Erickson Co. manufactured or manufactures advertising materials, promotional materials, and novelties in the 1920s and later. Is there any advertising message or other company name on the item? Among some of their more interesting products was a metal case for milk bottles that were manufactured for Sealtest Milk. You can find references to a number of products the company made in antiques sites on the web. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any indication the company still exists or whether it was bought out. It appears they were still in business in the 1960s.
