Guest buick.nut
I was wondering if anyone can help me with a '48 Olds electrical problem. I do not have the service literature on this auto but I do have an electrical diagram. It does not appear to be correct however. I am particularly concerned with the starter circuit. My starter solenoid has two smaller wires going to the solenoid. The drawing only shows one. On the large post the drawing shows the battery terminal and two smaller wires. I have these two smaller wires which are connected together on one terminal so that is correct. But on my diagram only one other terminal is shown and I have two. Also on my diagram if you trace the wiring it appears that the ammeter circuit both positive and negative hook up to the same place which can't be correct. Can anyone who has a '48 Futuramic and with some electrical experience, shed any light on this subject?Hoping to hear from you/Lee
