33 Buick Cooling Problems

I could use some help/information regarding the location of the thermostat on a 1933 Buick series 60. Where is it located and any helpful hints as to how to change it out? Would it take a standard thermostat or is it unique to the vintage? Is there anything else that might be restricting water flow? I drove the car one mile and it pegged out at 212. Last week I ran the car all day in the sweltering heat and never got aboe 180. Something must be sticking or has failed. Is there a flow switch on this car? Any suggstions would be appreciated. Need to have it back on the road in 6 days for a show.
