Guest motrbob
WANTED: Information on the 1957 Ford endurance Run, "Around the world twice in 20 Days" AKA known as " The longest left hand turn in history". I am looking for any of the showroom display materials for the 1957 Ford endurance run conducted at Bonneville Salt Flats in September of 1956. There were 2 Fords that ran 50,000+ miles in twenty days, averaging over 107 mph and establishing 450+ records. I have just finished restoring the only known survivor of this run and am now looking for showroom info that was used to publicize it.I currently have the Life article & advertising supplement, Ford times and other advertising but the shoroom advertising and salesmans quizes, pins and tests still elude me. Any help would be appreciated.ThanksMotrbob (at) aol . com
