Just want to let folks know about a new event in Fairbanks, Alaska: the Inaugural Midnight Sun Cruise-In set for June 18-20. The Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum is organizing this with our regional AACA chapter, the Vernon L. Nash Antique Car Club. The weekend will kick off with a dinner cruise to the Alaska Salmon Bake on Friday, followed by a car show (pre-1980 cars, People's Choice awards given in 6 classes), the 'Tour de Fairbanks' cruise and an awards banquet on Saturday. There will be museum activities, steam car demos and other displays through the weekend. Bear Lodge is offering discounted lodging. It's already shaping up to be a fun event. Dennis Gage from the Speed Channel will be here to film an episode for "My Classic Car." The Anchorage Model A Club is coming up, and we're already getting car show entries from around the state. If you're thinking about traveling to Alaska, this would be a good time to do so!
