What is it?

I found this old sheetmetal item several years ago and have had it hanging in my barn - it looks like the front part of a radiator "winterfront"; it has original olive green paint on it, has lots of raised ridges along the bottom portion and there's a hole in the bottom to insert the crank handle plus an open area at the top where I presume the automobile manufacturer's logo would have appeared on the radiator.

Any idea what it fits or came off of?

Thanks,

:)

Thanks Dave7, it does indeed look like the one in the photo you sent the link to; thankfully your photo confirms it - I looked in the American Carspotters Guide 1920-1939 under 1928 Chevrolet and it wasn't in their illustration. Do you know if it was a standard feature or was it an accessory?

:)
