This is a difficult problem. I have a number of suggestions, as I have been pursuing this same question for my '33 56S. Check overseas, with British fabric suppliers. They still make very high quality fabrics, in Britain which are as good as original. Another is that you approach old upholstery shops and fabric wholesalers. They often have NOS rolls tucked away in their warehouse. I found a goldmine here in Watertown, Mass. My last suggestion would be to contact the various Sutlers who supply the 100's of 18th Century military and civilian reenactment groups around the country. They are a goldmine for high quality broadcloth, and other wool fabrics, and they are very reasonably priced! Hope this helps.
