Kean Thompson
WANTED TO BUY: One (or more) 920X 120 B.E. coarse splined wire wheels as shown in the attached photos. Coarse splines were superseded in 1912 - see photos - there are 8 coarse splines in the hub. I have 3 of these - a front pair fitted to a circa 1908 Daimler axle - complete with hubs, stubs and brass caps. I also have one loose rim (the one pictured). From a Metric table I have here, the 920 X 120 dimensions - confirmed by measuring the rims here are:Overall Diameter - outer rim................................. 711mm (28")Spoke to Spoke rim Diameter - inner rim ............. 663mm (26 1/8")Overall width ...........................................................98mm (4")Between B.E, width .............................................. 67mm (2 5/8")These rims were used on the larger H.P. European cars including, but not limited to Daimler, Talbots, RR. etc. Ideally, I could use rear wheels complete with hubs, drums etc but will settle for anything - even the wheel centre hubs - there is a local who makes rims of superb quality.I would also like to talk with owners of cars that used these rims.speedster1930@hotmail.com
