Guest DeSoto Frank
I've been doing some casual research on the first generation of Hudson Super-Sixes, from 1916 through 1929.From what I've read, this was Hudson's main powerplant from 1916 through 1929, maintaining its original 288 cid displacement. The first Super-Sixes were L-head, but somewhere along the way, they were revised to an F-head configuration ?Can anyone confirm and provid more details as to when the change was made, were the L-head & F-head produced concurrently ?Thanks ! john2dameron
That would have been 1927. The F-Head replaced the L-Head. They were not produced concurrently. Horsepower rose from 76 on the L-Head to 92 on the F-Head.
