Guest RussNorris
First post for me! I recently threw a "rebuilt" '73 Q-Jet (7043240) on to my '72 Rivi and planned on using it until my original carb is rebuilt / restored. The '73 carb runs well for the most part, but does not idle well. It seems to be flooding to me. the idle mixture screws do nothing but make the idle rougher and if I pull a manifold vacuum line off the carb the idle speeds up considerably. Can someone suggest to me what the most likely culprit might be here (bad / mis-adjusted float)? I would like to sell this carb off when I am done with it, but want it to be right if I do so.Jon "The Carb King", are you out there? Thanks!Russ
