Guest prof pat
Newly acquired 1962 pontiac tempest, just had a new exhaust system installed, but the exhasust heat riser tube is rusted out. Does anyone know if this can be disconnected and blocked off at both ends, then use an electric choke? Appears to have exhaust coming out of both the exhaust manifold and the intake manifold side? Thanks for any help in advance!
Larry Schramm
If it is what I think it is, I used to use a piece of brake line to replace the rusted line.
Guest prof pat
Hi Larry, no it is a 1 1/4 inch tubing that is in total about two feet long with all sorts of bends and twists. maybe someone has a good one on an old engine...no luck finding one on any of the normal pontiac sources. But thanks for writting.
