Grizzly 1
I have an oil gauge that shows the needle past 4 ...not in car..not hooked up...also appears to have soder in back tube ..I presume the 1/4 copper tubing goes there ..but my question is twofold..do you simply soder in copper tubing..and is it possible that the guage is no good ..should the gauge read like 0 and be to the left before i install...and is there a way to check the gauge?? if mine is bad does anyone have one for sale? miles 25 DB Touring
Guest oldodgeboys
The gauge should read zero when static. Should be about 2-3 psi when running the motor...it depends on RPM, oil temperature, and engine condition. The engine oil pressure control spring has a big affect on oil pressure. There are other factors as well.Your gauge is not right. It may be a loose needle or worse. These gauges show up on eBay once in a while.Gus
