Guest Mark2002
Does anyone know what year/model this may be for? I have more pictures if needed. Thanks, Mark
Gary_Ash
It was used in M5, M15, and M16 trucks 1941-48. That looks like a nice one, easily restored with a little bronze Hammerite paint.
Guest Mark2002
Thanks Gary. I haven't even dusted it off yet. I have no idea where it came from. I don't think we ever owned an M5,15,16..... Does anyone need it?
Gary_Ash
Most of the Stude truck guys are on the Stude Truck Talk web site at www.network54.com/Forum/23885/Try posting a couple of pics there and a price. Just paste in the URL of the picture, don't need the "bracket img bracket" stuff.
Guest Mark2002
thanks again. What kind of $$ should I put on it?
Gary_Ash
Did you pressure test the core? Does the motor run (6 volts)? Is the nickel plating on the Quad Duty tag in good shape? If yes, then $50-$100, if not $25-$50. I'm basing my estimate on the fact that it seems to be all there, no dents, only a little surface rust, and I'm assuming that the fan will run. Of course, you need to find (at least) 1 buyer willing to pay your price. But then, that's what Ebay is for...
Guest Mark2002
Ebay fees have gone up so much, that I try not to use them if I don't have to. I haven't tested the heater, but I appreciate the info. I found a rusted one on there that sold for $26 not long ago.
Guest marcbr4
Hi,Do you still have the heater?
Guest De Soto Frank
Does anybody know who made these heaters ? They are a dead-ringer for the "recirculating" heaters used in Chrysler Products in the late 1930's through 1948.
