Guest buickriv63 Posted January 6, 2009 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Hello everybody and happy new year!There's a chromed bell-like device in my cars firewall. Also the speedometer has an adjustable red needle. I suppose this is what they called a safety buzzer. Mine isn't working, since there's no sound, when I'm speeding over the red needle. If the car was equipped with cruise control, then the needle was used to set the speed.The buzzer on my Riv was not grounded and that's why it wouldn't work so you might want to make sure all the wiring is present.
