Ornberg
I bought a rear axle from a 1950 Dynaflow series 50 Super a while ago and my plan is to use this carrier in my 1948 Special to get a more highway friendly gear ratio. I expect it to be a 3.60 ratio but to my surprise I find the ring gear teeth to be 47 and the pinion gear to be 15 for a total ratio of 3.13. I don’t suppose this to be original for a 1950 Super or was this an availably option this year?Per
Ornberg
I just discover that I can’t count. I went out and have a second look at my pinion gear. I made a mistake when counting, not 15 but 13. That’s make sense with a 3.60 ratio. I’m sorry for my mistake. Per
