mike calhoon
I have an unrestored 61 Starfire that is missing the internal guts and latch for the console glove box... I am looking for a photo of what it should look like and/or parts if possible... only thing missing on the car...69K miles and original paint... I love it!thanks mike email mike@michaelcalhoon.comI would love to post a couple pix but can't figure out how to attach on this site?
dlh61olds
I probably have what you need if you can describe the parts.Dave
mike calhoon
I am told there is a cardboard insert like the regular glove box... I have the lid keylatch and a piece attached to the console, but believe there is a missing piece, some type of keeper the latch catches on? The piece attached to the console is just been bent forward and the keylatch catches on it, but won't release properly...thnaks mike 863-944-8615
dlh61olds
Mike, here is what it should look like. It sounds as tho you are missing the catch. It is held in place with two screws. Here are pic's of my console with the glove box removed, and an extra catch I could send if that's what you need.FUSICK has the correct glove box. mike calhoon
thanks so much... I know I need the catch, but what is the piece in the second picture? When I open my door, all I see is carpet? Not sure if second pix is an insert or part of the lid?thx mike
dlh61olds
The second pic is an extra part.Look at the bumpers. This is upside down. You have to install the small dark piece on the existing console part with the two screws. The small piece is all you need.Dave
