  6. thanks so much... I know I need the catch, but what is the piece in the second picture? When I open my door, all I see is carpet? Not sure if second pix is an insert or part of the lid? thx mike
  7. I am told there is a cardboard insert like the regular glove box... I have the lid keylatch and a piece attached to the console, but believe there is a missing piece, some type of keeper the latch catches on? The piece attached to the console is just been bent forward and the keylatch catches on it, but won't release properly... thnaks mike 863-944-8615
  8. I have an unrestored 61 Starfire that is missing the internal guts and latch for the console glove box... I am looking for a photo of what it should look like and/or parts if possible... only thing missing on the car... 69K miles and original paint... I love it! thanks mike email mike@michaelcalhoon.com I would love to post a couple pix but can't figure out how to attach on this site?

  11. I am having a problem matching correct hubcaps with the correct rims for my 1961 Starfire... both were thrown away by previous owner... I have found a set of the original caps but can't seem to find a rim that will fit them... The back of the caps seem to ahve a need to be on a rim that interior dimensions is 12.5" and most I have found in rims is 13.5"... Dessert Valley is stumped and after sending them a cap, could not find a single rim that the cap would stay on... All the Olds wheels look correct size, but the cap will not stay on because dimensions for grip is not correct... I have not been able to locate a 1961 Starfire in central Flroida to check what is actually on a real car... Can anyone please help me... mike@michaelcalhoon.com thanks 863-944-8615
