czechm8 Posted August 13, 2008 Share Posted August 13, 2008 I just acquired a 54 Merc w/overdrive. I'm converting to 12V and all seems pretty routine except the overdrive solenoid. I'm told the 12V solenoid has a different shaft so will not directly interchange. IF I can find a 56-60 unit, can I exchange the two internal solenoids and how difficult is that? Any other methods?
