alesco
An aftermarket cassette for an 88 seems like an impossible task. I was thinking of removing the plugs out of my cassette player and wire an aftermarket unit from there so as to not disturb the cables in the car if I decide to put an OEM back into the car. Has anyone ever tried to install an aftermarket unit in this vehicle?
Guest
I bought my 88 two years ago. The previous owner had installed a trunk mounted 6 disc changer. The tiny head unit sits below the cassette deck, and is FM modulated and hardly noticable. Of course the cassette doesn't work. But I'm glad he put the cd player in, I can't drive without tunes, especially on road trips.
