Charles D. Barnette
Dear Buick Lovers, I have another Motorama scoop this time involving the fabulous 1953 Buick Wildcat I owned now by Mr. Joe Bortz of Chicago. To honor its 100th anniversary, GM will have a special car display at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance in Carmel, California, on Sunday, August 17, 2008. As part of that display, Mr. Bortz will display from his private collection the white closed rear fender well 1953 Buick Wildcat I. David Temple author of GM's Motorama has surmised that there were three of these cars built with one being Mr. Bortz's car and the other two being a black version of Mr. Bortz's car with the third being one that was white with an open rear well design.
