Mechanical whirr from door

All,<P>There is something I can describe only as an occasional mechanical whirr coming from my driver's side door.<P>Once or twice a minute, a small "bzzzt" will catch the attention of my left ear.<P>Sometimes it is barely noticeable, like a fly buzzing near the window, and at other times it startles me like the horn of a nearby car.<P>Whatever it is continues to happen when the car is completely shut off. I can only assume it happens all night while the car is garaged.<P>I'm inclined to guess it is the power window or lock motors doing something, but there is no indication of that.<P>Am I just going crazy?
