wenthur
When I bought my "24 the wood steering wheel was loose on the aluminum carriage, I looked for ways to tighten it, to no avail without drilling holes and adding small pins. A BIG no no. Thinking about it I figures someone had put varnish on the wood to make it shiny, I sanded all the varnish off and soaked steering wheel in orange oil, until it would nor absorb any more. Then waxed with Howards feed and seal [A PRODUCT AVAILABLE AT MOST HARDWARE STORES}, today the wood is tight as can be and handling the wood wheel is not slippery. Wood is like human skin and needs to be oiled.
