1940_Buick
1913 Studebaker Model 25 Roadster 1913 Studebaker Picture This car has only traveled a little over 5,000 miles since new. It was repainted in the 1960’s, but otherwise is almost completely original. The seat back is the original leather, the door panels are original, and even the floor mat is the original floor mat and shows very little wear. Only the seat bottom has been replaced and was done nicely. The steering column and windshield hinges still have their original nickel plaiting. There’s so little wear on this car that the machine marks are still visible on many parts. All the original bolts are still in place. The tread on the brake and clutch pedals has almost no wear. It even still has the original leather magneto cover that it came from the factory with.As far as we can tell, the top is even original. The “Jiffy Curtains” (side curtains) are still folded and bucked up inside the top.The clutch was relined with leather by Bob Knaak last fall.New all white tires were mounted in spring of this year. The original plate glass has been replaced with safety glass. The car runs very well. It almost always starts on the 3rd pull of the crank. It drives pretty much like it must have when it was new, no wandering or shimmy, tracking straight and true.It completed the Brass in Bucks national HCCA tour this past summer. It ran every day of the tour without any problems other than a leaky axle seal (now fixed) and the differential had been filled too full (now at proper level). A picture of the car on tour is on the HCCA website with the Brass in Bucks tour highlights. The only flaws that are known are:- The speedometer cable broke in November and hasn’t been replaced yet.- The paint is beginning to chip on one fender and a couple wheels. It’s also somewhat faded and has some stains.- The original colors were “Studebaker Dark Blue” body and black running gear. This car would be an excellent candidate for AACA Historic Preservation of Original Features (HPOF) certification.Ownership is documented from 1955 to present. It spent a number of years in the collection of Robert Dalrymple. For a "virtual test drive" go to: http://www.youtube.com/and search for "1913 studebaker"For pictures, go to: http://s106.photobucket.com/albums/m269/nrimbxw/1913%20Studebaker/ Price: $25,000 Email: bradwallace2000@yahoo.comPhone: (610) 837-1388 Bath, PA
