JohnsRiv
Just purchased a 70 Riviera. Had it for a couple days & when I went to start it, all it does is crank. It has spark but no fuel going to the carb. It has an electric fuel pump in the tank, I checked the power going to the pump and it has power; I hooked up a 12 volt directly to the pump and disconnected the fuel line to the carburetor & nothing came out. I was wondering if I could put an in-line electric fuel pump on or do I have to change in out from the tank? Also, anyone have any suggestions on the best places to buy Buick parts like this?Any help would be appreciatedJohn
rivgs
John, There is an access hole in the trunk, pull the carpet back and you will find it.The fuel pump is part of the fuel gauge sending unit. I was able to get a new fuel pump from Carquest last year.
