Guest old 52
i have a 52 olds 88, its developed a cold start problem. i cant seem to get it started in the mornings unless i take the batwing air cleaner off and use starting fluid. once i get it started i can turn it off and restart all day long no problem. its on the 6 volt system, the plugs, regulator, wires, cap, points ect are all less than 5000 miles old. i have tried not touching the gas and starting, pumping and starting, holding to the floor and starting, but cant get it started. this developed about 200 miles ago, i did run carb cleaner through the carb about 600 miles ago. any insight would be appreciated..mikeshe's a daily driver
Guest imported_pete324rock
didn't say if when you took off the batwing and looked down the bore and cracked the throttle to see if a steady stream of gas was squirting...pete
