I'm trying to correct some old routing mistakes - is the heater water pipe from the water pump to the back of the engine still used on cars with the AC compressor? Is the nipple from the water pump a standard fitting?

the pipe should be standard 1/2 inch pipe thread, and should be able to pick up another nipple at an auto parts supply shop, it may also help if you run a pipe tap through the hole to clean it out.. I bought a pipe tap just for doing the intakes on the GM's where they used a pot metal connector to join to the heater hose, and we all know how badly pot metal stands up to the elements..
