Thanks for the reply. Looking at period photos and advertisements, it appears that they may have been painted silver. You're right though, they’re all rust colored now. Tony

Does anyone know what color the cast iron part of the jetfire turbo should be painted? I’m ready to send mine out to get it rebuilt, but before I do I’d like to send the turbine section to JetHot to get it ceramic coated. I know that JetHot’s coating won’t be correct, but I would like the color to be reasonably close to original.
