I have a 57, 371 motor that Im converting to a 700R4 with a conversion kit from Bendtson. Stock flywheel will not work so Im using the smaller flywheel and lower bellhousing from the slim jim. Not the stock starter hits the block. Did the slimjim have a different starter with an offset for the solenoid? If not, what works?

I have a 57, 371 motor, using a Slim Jim lower bellhousing. Stock starter no longer fits, hits the block. Did the slim jim require a different starter with an offset for the solenoid to clear the block? Im not using the slim jim, IM converting to a 700R4 with a conversion kit but it isnt working with the stock flywheel, so IM trying the smaller flywheel with the slim jim bellhousing.
