  1. Ah. I can picture the ring function. Thanks Jay. So is the numbered dial no more than an adjustment wrench with a visual reference point for rotation? (like: "You need to close the points up by -2 on the dial") <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Peter Gariepy</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Edited by Peter Gariepy</div></div> ...sorry about the acronym Peter
  2. Hi again... Help the classically challenged again please. My first car was a '65 bug when it wasn't ten years old. I've seen and worked with plenty of tools but I can't figure out how this thing works. (Another attic treasure...) This looks like the predecessor to the timing light. Those rings are spring steel. I Googled this kit number yesterday and found many references to its presence but no detail on how it worked. What in the hell are those rings for? And into what was that dial chucked? Thanks again. -Dave

  4. Hi all: I'm trying to identify these chrome pieces I inherited with a garage and I'd like to intelligently list them on that e-word site. Can someone help? I have two, the first one's probably easier. Obviously a Ford and most likely a truck. Does this image bring years or models to anyone's mind? This is centerline hood ornamentation from something. Does anyone know what it is? Here's the front: Any identity help will be greatly appreciated. -Dave
