I bought a parts car for my 1969 Buick Electra Convertible. The engine in the 4-door Buick Electra parts car appears to be in good condition. I just rebuilt the top end on the engine in the convertible, so I don't anticipate needing another engine. I was thinking about buying a 70-72 skylark and putting the 430 motor in it to make a muscle car. My understanding is that the 400-430-455 engine was made from the same block. I need to know if the 430 motor (and engine mounts) will drop in the skylark (replace the 350). I bumped into a guy at a swap meet who stated that a plate needed to be welded to the frame to add support for the motor mounts. I'm not sure I want to go through that trouble. If anyone has any information or suggestions on this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Nick
