Thanks for the great advice. The Resevior is not completely empty. It is low, but perhaps a 1/2 inch at the bottom. Think I will try to drain what is in there and put fresh transmission fluid in it and go from there. I also like the idea of disconnecting the top and exercising the cylinders....they don't get much use. Is there something that's good to flush the system? If/when I replace the cylinders and hoses any advice on where to buy? thanks again...

Looking for any advice on how I service my convertable top? It is currently low on fluid and will no longer go up. The motor still sounds good, but no action. The top care manual I have says to wipe down the cylider pistons with brake fluid. Specific questions are: 1. What type of fluid do I put in the hydralic pump attached to the motor? Hydralic? 90 weight transmission fluid? Brake fluid? Other? 2. Do I fill the pump with the top up or down? 3. How do I bleed the air out of the lines? 4. Anything else I should do? Any help would be apreciatedd!! thanks!
