i am looking to take the engine out of my 1936 oldsmobile. it is a running straight eight. no smoke. three speed transmission shifts ok but will be needing new clutch componants. i am not happy with what little power it has. from what i have seen and reserched, I have only found 3 1936 oldsmobiles that were in orginal condition they are only getting around $15,000.00 Not bad but i am leaning towards a 455 rocket. more fun i guess and heavier on the pocket book. any hoot looking for idea of is there any value in these parts? thanks bill here is a link to my Olds to see what i am working with. http://picasaweb.google.com/wryanjr

Hello everyone, This past weekend my father presented me with my first Vintage Car. I Stopped riding Motorcycles last year and decided to put time and effort into hotrods. I have spent my last year looking for a vehicle to make either a rat rod or something fun. 1936 Oldsmobile 4 Door Town Car model 3819. If anyone can give me some guidence on where I may find some parts or things to be carfule of I am all ears. The Car actually starts and runs, Floors and trunk are rotted out but Fram is solid some how. I have checked Ebay and all over the intrenet but I am not having much luck. I am looking for some answers on doors, the bottomes of the doors are rusted through, is there any companies you can order door skins or do I need or better off to try and have the metal replaced. Thanks for any input you may have I wil post some pics of the car tomorrow. Thanks again Bill
