  1. This is the wrong year but it is a 6.66. Perhaps the owner get give you some direction.

Thanks, for some strange reason this is captioned as 1919, when if you watch it to the end it is captioned correctly as 1922, the 1921 cars had wire wheels and didnt have those strange cylindrical things at each corner, which I assume are some sort of shock absorber.

  2. 1921-1922 Paige 6-42, 6-44, 6-66

switch and distributor At. Kent CA

    Coil B. & S. 1613-R

    starter Remy 721-A, 705-C

    generator Remy 913-D,E

The Remy 721-A starter was also used on Jewett 1922, which makes sense since they were owned by Paige.

    Layden,

    Thanks,

I assume that the 6.66 starter motor is the Remy 705-C, as the 6.44 motor was developed for the Jewett, so they will have shared the Remy 721-A starter.

  3. Any possible information welcomed, could you scan the parts book for me Graham Man, I think my e mail link is connected to my id, or it's in a wanted ad on the Graham-Paige website....

I think the 6.66 is basically the same as the later 6.70 which went through until 1925, they all seem to have a wb of 131 inches and be powered by a 6 cylinder Continental Engine of 331.4 C.I.D. (type 10 or 10-A) Does anyone know if this engine was supplied to any other makes of car?

  4. Thanks Dave,

other then your reply I have had one private message which has proved very helpful and a scam from someone who claimed they were parting a car In England, even gave me a post code (UK version of Zip Code), unfortunately when I said i would come an pick up the parts (as I am in England!) he or she stopped communicating! I also had another person claiming to be parting a car in Spain, even sent me some photos of the car.... my car! Again when I said i would come and pick up the parts communication ceased! Buyer beware (cavet emptor)

  5. That's been happening in Germany regularly for the past few years, they come to England, buy a good car, take it back to Germany, remove the body which then gets advertised on e bay and make a boy racer out of the chassis, and it is not only Bentleys this is happening to.

One problem is the boy racer/hot rod will sell for considerably more than the Bentley Saloon (sedan)

  6. This is posted on the Graham and Paige section, but I thought this might be read in the General section by someone who knows a Paige owner who doesnt read forums and put me in touch.-

I have recently bought an incomplete 1921 Paige 6.66, the main parts I know are missing are as follows :-

    Diff carrier for rear axle

    Radiator Shell

    starter motor

    Steering wheel

    Instruments.

I would welcome any contact from other owners whether they have spares or not, as I am sure to need advice over the next few months.

The back axle is Timken does anyone know if it was fitted to any other cars? Did it carrry through to the 6.70?

Any help or info however small gratefully received, I can't find an interchange manual that deals with cars this early, is there one I have missed?

  8. I have been restoring this car for 8 years now... I really ought to finish it this year. It is RHD UK supplied new (yes I am in the UK)

I am missing the following parts:-

Hub Caps x 4 for Wooden Wheels

    Gas/ Fuel Caps x 3 - about 4inch diameter

    Inside Window winders x 2

Inside Door handles x 2 these are attached by a thread through the escuthon plate (I need 4 of these!)

Gas/fuel guage black face gold lettering

Rear lamp bracket LH side (US Spec)

    Rear Imperial Badge.

I am sure some of these will be common to other Chryslers of the period, although some wont be. Any help gratefully recieved

  10. I am looking at the possibility of purchasing this car which will need a total restoration, I have been given the following chassis number 28201 and engine number 30768, the wb is 145 inches, do these numbers relate to a 31SV16 or is this a car assembled out of many bits?

    Any advice gratefully recieved.
