  1. I think you are wrong. Safety glass can be tempered glass, which is not laminated. Tempered glass is used in side and rear windows of almost every modern car produced. I think that the glass that I have is an original tempered rear window. I disagree that the value is zero. After all, it is probably factory original glass and just as legal as any modern glass. This glass is probably reproduced today, but it would be an expensive choice compared to a fine original.
  2. I am in need of assistance in figuring out what a piece of glass fits. I'm thinking it is either a windshield or a rear window for a Kaiser. It has the typical shape and measures 19-1/2" tall at the "vee". It's tallest dimension is 20-1/4" and it measures 57" across at the bottom corners with the curvature. It is clear (non-tinted) and I didn't notice any numbers or markings. It doesen't appear to be laminated glass. It is probably factory glass, since it has been in my father's garage for 50 years or so. It also has the rubber with chrome or stainless trim. If anyone has any information that would help I would appreciate it. Also, what would be a fair price for it? Thanks

  4. I need chrome trim strips for the rear doors of my '49 Cadillac Series 61 4-dr sedan. These attach directly above the splash guards and are a continuation of the rear fender spears. At least driver quality preferred. Thanks
