  1. Thanks to both Don and Brian for your help. I did get the articles from Brian; valuable information indeed! Incedently Don, I grew up in Oak Forest and still live in the south suburban area. Thanks again, Jim
  2. Hello - First, a little background. My father was a Buick man. My first memory is of our '57 Special. This was followed by; '62 LeSabre, '65 Wildcat and a '69 Wildcat. the '65 was saved and gifted to me on my 16th birthday; on one condition. It needed brakes, tune-up and a battery. I had to to buy the parts, do the work and submit the vehicle for inspection by my father when complete. It had to start, run and stop properly or else, keep walking to school. Thanks to a Motor Manual and a local shop to cut those big aluminum drums after a few fits and starts I passed and was finally on the road, and with a pretty fine ride for a kid. A white 1965 Wildcat 4 door hardtop, light blue interior,AC, power windows; the works! Fast foward, various other makes. Customized a '69 GMC 396/TH400 posi, owned a '72 Riveria, restored a '70 Riveria in the early 80's. Currently drive a '55 Olds 88 2 dr post sedan. Recently couldn't resist a '69 225 that was priced just right. It has standard hub caps, but the Buick rallye wheels look so good on these cars that I scrounged around and found a set, said to be from a '71 Riveria for sale in decent shape, with a little elbow grease. The center caps are only good for parts, but that's OK. When I sold the '70 Riveria the guy who bought it said he was going to put Keystones on her, and I could keep the centers. Now these are the "turbine style" (my defination) not the regular round, flat caps. I went to test fit these on the rims and they wanted to go on hard. I didn't force them for fear of breaking off any teeth. Now, the question: Does the inside diameter of the center cap hole vary depending on age and/or which style cap is used? I don't mind running the '70 "turbine" caps on the 225 until I can locate a correct-to-model set.Thank you in advance for any help and wisdom. My father now monitors this site regularly.
