Have another door question. On a 69 Convertible are the inside door panels supposed to have the S medallion?

Looking for information on 1969 Cutlass S Convertible arm rests. What I have found so far is they are supposed to be the 16" and mine are the 11". The doors are the original doors and I have taken the door panels off to check and there where never any 16" holes drilled. The car was made in June, so could they have put the smaller arm rest's on since it was late in the year? Thanks for any information.
