  1. I have four BFG Traction TA's in 215/65R15. Ride is ok, not too noisy. Last a long time. Will replace them with 225/60 or235/50 for lower profile, better looks, and improved handling. The 235/50s might be too wide to run on the stock rims. Read the customer reviews, especially if you are concerned with ride quality! Lower profile tires generally give a harsher ride, but some are worse than others. If you are restoring the car to show you need to use the OEM tires in the stock size on the stock wheels.Knowing how you will use the car will help you decide what tires you need.

  2. Didn't see the winky thing... too much champagne [it's a long story]. My other car was a 63 1/2 falcon wagon. Ex had a vega once, wanted to drop a 454 into it. LOL Kenny

  3. Where can I buy a replacement hood ornament for my black 88? Does anyone redo these badges? Mine is in sad shape, faded and most of the gold gone. Any leads appreciated, thanks, Kenny.

  4. Hi, KEEP THE CAR. Buy a good cover for it, Barney Eaton sells really nice ones that actually fit. Other people also sell covers and about anything else you can think of for your reatta. There are lots of new owners on this board, you are not alone. Tell the husband to sell one of his cars instead of your baby. Kenny

  5. Select 60's were specially badged cars used as incentives for

buick dealers. only 60 per year, one each to the top 60 dealers nationwide. Lots more info available from the club experts, especially Barney. Read the judging standards, they tell more than I can.

    enjoy your reatta!!!

  6. I've been reading back posts for about a week now and see turbo projects and blower projects but no old fashioned hot rod projects. Did anyone try the cam, roller rockers, hi-comp piston thing? We seem to have a source for custom prom chips so that should not be a problem. How much horsepower is the stock transaxle good for anyway?

  7. My local front end shop says I have a bad bearing in the right front wheel. Quoted $800 to fix, with $250 for hub. Old school parts house has hub for $86. My question is if any special tools are required or can I just use a steering wheel/hb puller? Anything else I should know before I tear into this? Looks like a straight forward job, but looks can be deceiving! THANKS.
