A tube bender is also handy so the lines don't kink as you're forming them. There is a good basic article about bending hard lines in the Jan 07 CarCraft. Hope this helps, Kenny

Hope you're big and strong, it does take lots of push to stop a reatta without boost. The adrenaline rush really helps tho. Congrats on Eagle!!!! Very hard to do nowdays, was easier when I earned mine, many years ago, far fewer distractions then. Kenny

F14 would have loved my old GMC flatbed one-ton dually> had a 3 way brownie gear splitter behind the factory 4 speed. All manual, no electric shifter or synchros in the brownie. 12speeds on a turbo diesel. Yup, I was a gear jammin fool, LOL Kenny

"Cosby tune up" is 100MPH in second gear to blow the gunk out. To be performed on "any side Street". Really tho, try a run down the freeway to clear the gunk out and get the cat hot. Here in NJ we get big red rejected stickers on the windshield from the state DMV, gives us 45 days to fix and retest after failing yearly inspection.

I didn't know that ANY 88 came with keyless entry. Then again, mine is a very early 88.

I remember some of your comments in prior threads, too bad there is no really good direct replacement. and yes, you did very well with a hi-mile tranny to start with.

A friend of mine has replaced the steering column in his 90 olds three times. He is very large and pulls himself into the car by holding onto the wheel. The bearings do break easily. Same wonderful GM design as ours.

You can try some saddle soap or Murphy's Oil Soap to clean the dirt off the leather. The saddle soap will also help soften up the leather where it is getting sun damaged. These are really gentle on the leather also. Will work well on your driving gloves too. Hope this helps, Kenny.

Try NAPA, they tend to have these odd size bulbs and stuff our reattae need.

Just guessing; did you test the ICM? How 'bout a streached throttle cable or a loose bracket or something? Did you test for full throtle movement to get WOT under load. Hope you find out what's wrong, Kenny

IMHO, use stabil in the full gas tank. The ethanol in our gas sucks up all the water that will condense in a partially filled tank and the gas "goes bad" very quickly. AVGAS is high lead and will kill the catalytic converter,and costs $4.50 a gallon. Kenny

Halon is approved for AIRCRAFT USE ONLY. Other than that it is great stuff and very effective. Most closed cocpit race cars carry fixed fire supression systems that use CO2. Look in a Summit Racing catalog or a Jegs catalog. CO2 displaces O2, halon disrupts the chemical reaction of combustion.
