    Bill. I just discovered your response tonight, August 22. Thanks for the information. Yes indeed, the three 000 were in fact, DDD. The brass Fedco plate is a metalic halograph, very cleverly engraved and is tricky to read at different angles. At first glance all you see is H W Chrysler and then the under engraving appears as you move light across at differenct angles. I'll try to attach a photo for you to enjoy. Thank you, Gary Ingram

    My so called 1927 Chrysler Sports Coupe shows above the instrument panel the following: HWH WWW EGHT SEVN SIX 000. Please, can anyone decipher this for me, or tell me how to read it?
