  1. I have a '64 Wildcat with a 401 nailhead and Carter AFB 4 barrel carburetor that needs work. I have no idea where to send it for a first class re-build, and wonder whether it might be better to simply trade it for one that has already been rebuilt to save down time. While this car will never see a Barrett-Jackson event, some friends who also are collectors are insistent that I should stay with the original. Can anyone recommend a rebuild shop, and do you have any thoughts about original vs replacement? Thanks.
  2. I have a '64 Wildcat convertible with bucket seats and console which includes a factory tach that is inoperative. The shop manual does not show this tach installation at all. So far I have found that the wires enter the transmission tunnel, but cannot find any information concerning color coding or destination of the tach wires. I wonder if anyone out there can shed any light on this. Thanks.
  3. I have a '64 Wildcat convertible with a sagging main top frame rail that prevents raising the driver door window completely. The sag is at the first hinge, near the rear of the driver window. There is a square-head bolt at that hinge, accessible when the top is half raised, that allows adjusting the rail/hinge downward (wrong direction for this problem), and it has already been backed off to assure that it is not the cause of the problem. Does anyone have any experience or suggestion that might help me to correct this?
  4. Thanks for the information, MrEarl. I'll give them a try.
