I never paid much attention to the cap but now that you mention it the radiator neck does not have an over flow tube. There is soldered item about 4 inchs from the neck with a metal tube running across the top & down the side. Stant R8 cap I have appears to fit kind of loose. This car only has 30,000 miles on it and was purchased from the original owner so I have to believe the radiator is the original as I just replaced the original crumbling hoses. Where would I look for one of the non-pressure caps?

Having trouble locating a STANT R8 4 lb radiator cap OR ANY OTHER BRAND for my 48 Windsor 6cyl. Tryed NAPA,BARRY'S, ADVANCE,AUTOZONE, OLEARY,PEPBOYS,E-BAY, GOOGLE, HELP!!!!

Have located jiffy jet washer jar from e-bay member MOPARFORUM. I think he has about five left at $10. each + s&h. Matching lids were still available the last time I checked, from cruxfan@aol.com ( not cheap but new condition) $15. + 4.00 s&h.

I assume from my manual that the wiring, solinoid & governor are located under the floor board inspection plate, passenger side. Haven't check it yet, but appears to be covered in grease & dirt. Car has manual choke. Delayed shift occurs in high range. It only shifts once in high range and doesn't shift at all in low range. Problem existed before and after changing transmission oil & fluid drive oil. Thanks for all the great info.

My transmission "hangs" 2nd gear in the "automatic mode", and I have to let off the gas for it to shift up to higher gears. This happens intermittently usually when It has been sitting for a while. Fluid has been replaced as well as transmission oil. No differance. Any suggestions as to the cause ?

Need a jiffy jet windshield washer jar that fits 3 1/4 inch lid. Have to believe there is a replacement out there that doesn't cost $15. + $8.00 shipping & handling. Mason jar to big. Mt. Olive Pickle jar to small. Any suggestions welcome.

There is a metal bulb attached to my drivers side firewall with a hose at each end. One hose has a metal strainer at the end and the other end has what appears to be a broken vacuum hose. Can't figure out where it go's. Any help here ?
